I work on how an interactive system should decide whether and when to respond to what it observes about a person and what should happen when it misunderstands them.
My background combines software development, applied machine learning and interface design. My current research is in health, alongside projects in learning and collaboration. I have mentored students through the IEEE Career Mentoring Program and currently serving as Vice President of the Graduate Student Association in Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State. I aim to pursue an academic career combining research, teaching and mentorship.
